Our Bakewell Tart is a beloved British classic. It features a crisp, buttery shortcrust pastry base layered with a generous spread of sweet raspberry jam. This is topped with a moist, fluffy frangipane—a rich almond filling—and finished with a sprinkle of toasted flaked almonds. A perfectly balanced treat for any occasion.

Storage and Preparation

All of our cakes are hand-baked and hand-finished for you to enjoy, you must store your cake slice in the fridge ,use for up to 3 days.

Ingredients

  • Crust: Flour, Butter, Sugar, Egg (or egg yolk).

  • Jam Layer: Raspberry Jam (traditionally, but other berry jams are also used).

  • Frangipane Filling: Butter, Sugar (Caster/Granulated), Eggs, Ground Almonds, Almond Extract (for enhanced flavor).

  • Topping: Flaked Almonds (and sometimes a light dusting of Icing Sugar or a thin layer of white icing).
